The electric boiler (Fig. 1, a, b) is disconnected from the electrical network, grounding and water supply 2.

It is necessary to open the collapsible valve 11, unscrew the plugs and drain the remaining water through the pipe 10, unscrew the handle that receives the cover and remove it.


Unscrew the tap and the nozzle, disconnect the wires going to sensors 7, 8 and 9.


Turn the boiler upside down, remove the body from the internal tank 1. Remove the jumpers from the heating elements 5.


Unscrew the eight nuts on the tie bolts of the inner tank and remove the boiling water tank 3.


Unscrew the nuts from the heating elements and remove them.


Descale the surface.


Maintenance of an electric boiler is reduced to checking the internal wiring diagram, checking the insulation resistance between electrical devices and the case, which must be at least 0.5 megohm.


Replace blown out warning lamps HL1 and HL2 and fuse F.


Check the operation of the DC electrolytic relay KU type RKM-1.


When the switch SA is turned on, the current through the TP transformer enters the power circuit of the signal red lamp HL2, which lights up, and into the power circuit of the KU electrolytic relay, which closes the KU contacts, including the L coil of the QF magnetic starter, which, in turn, turns on the heating elements and the green circuit warning light HL1.


Repair of the electric boiler is carried out after disassembling it, as described above.


During the repair, they check the operation of the magnetic starter, the transformer winding, check the insulation resistance and its integrity.


The sensors E1 - E3 and the RKM-1 electrolytic relay are checked using the factory documentation.


Check the integrity of the heating elements, the resistance of the resistor R and the fuse F.


Cleans all contact surfaces.


Check the automatic starting device 4 (APU), electrical panel 12, terminal block 6.


The automatic starting device contains an electrolytic relay and a rectifier device, electrode circuits, a resistor and other ballasts.


Terminal block 6 is used to connect the boiler to an external electrical circuit.


On the contacts of the shield 12, the heating elements are connected.
